Lower Elementary (2nd Grade) Faculty

Ridgeview Classical Schools is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a second grade homeroom teacher for the 26-27 academic year. Our classical elementary curriculum draws inspiration from the original Core Knowledge sequence and seeks to provide students with a rigorous and well-rounded foundation for future educational success. Even in the earliest years, we seek to present students with "the best that has been thought and said" in order to inspire wonder and foster intellectual curiosity. As part of our whole-person approach to education, character development is also considered a critical part of daily life in the elementary classroom.

Ridgeview is seeking applicants who are passionate about their discipline, creative, teachable, and excited to work with a broad range of pupils to ensure that their pupils are adequately prepared for the rigors of the upper school curriculum. 

Ridgeview neither requires nor prefers candidates with a teacher certification and would rather solicit applications from individuals who have demonstrated academic mastery in a core subject such as history, mathematics, science, or literature. Teaching experience is preferred but is not essential; in accordance with the Colorado READ Act, candidates must either possess or be willing to pursue state-mandated reading education certification. Written and oral communication skills, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and collegiality are essential.

Upon submitting a complete application, candidates may be contacted for an interview with the Department Head. Successful candidates will then be asked to conduct a mock teach and interview with a hiring committee. After this, final hiring decisions are made.
