Low Voltage Estimating & Plan Review

Outsourcing Advantage is looking for a meticulous and analytical Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications related to low voltage systems, which include fire alarm, security, access control, cameras, intercom, data, and related systems. Reviews plans and specifications to determine what equipment and scope are required. Your expertise will help ensure accurate cost estimates and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze architectural and engineering plans related to low voltage systems to determine project requirements.
• Prepares accurate estimates by reviewing plans and comparing new projects to previous similar jobs to ensure consistent system design, device placement, and overall scope.
• Create detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to clarify project specifications and requirements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of estimation databases and standards.
• Ensure timely submission of estimates to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, at least at a level of C1 Advanced.
• Proven experience in low voltage estimating or a similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including security, audio-visual, and data communication.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
