We’re looking for a strategic and tech-savvy Senior Business Analyst to lead strategic transformations across our business — a unique opportunity to shape the future of wealth management through innovation.
This role can be offered either as a permanent position or as a contract engagement (initially 6 months on a day‑rate basis), depending on the candidate’s preference and business needs.

About The Role:
The Senior Business Analyst leads strategic transformation across Lonsec’s wealth and investment platforms. Bridging strategy and technology, this role delivers smart, scalable solutions in collaboration with product, tech & AI , and operations teams — driving innovation and competitive edge.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end requirements gathering and solution design for
transformation initiatives.
Translate business needs into clear functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate on strategy, evaluating solutions and supporting implementation across platforms.
Analyse and optimise business processes - Automate to improve efficiency, where possible.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Perform data analysis to support decisions and ensure data quality and governance.
Coordinate testing activities, including UAT, and support change management.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practice frameworks across the business.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Business analysis certifications (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA) highly regarded.
10+ years’ BA experience, including 5+ in financial services.
Proven delivery of complex transformation projects in regulated environments.
Strong understanding of wealth platforms, banking systems, and investment tech.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and vendor evaluations.
Skilled in Agile practices, stakeholder management, and process modelling.
Proficient in data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and BA platforms (Jira, Confluence).
Deep knowledge of financial services regulations and AI governance standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
