MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION: الغرض من المسمى الوظيفي:
To coordinate and follow up point to point on the confirmed shipments and/or materials in order to ensure the continuous availability of goods that meet the operating schedules, availability and deadlines of the business.
Coordinate all aspects of Logistics (Outbound), Timely Dispatches with regulatory compliance of International Customs/ Border norms, management of logistics team.
DUTIES: المهام الوظيفية:
Accountable to UFC for the budget of the Logistics Department, and ensuring that financial targets are met for the department.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items, with a focus on quality, cost, and reliability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
Conduct vendor performance reviews and manage contracts.
Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor market trends and raw material prices to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate price volatility risks.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and manage the logistics for inbound shipments of raw materials (often in bulk) and outbound shipments of finished polymer products (bags, bulk, containers).
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port authorities within Sohar Port to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance for imports and exports.
Prepare, check, and manage all required shipping and trade documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists).
Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively resolving any delays or issues that may arise.
Work closely with the warehouse team at the plant to ensure optimal inventory levels and coordinate the receipt and dispatch of materials.
Analyze freight costs, carrier performance, and routing to identify efficiencies and reduce overall logistics spend.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: المؤهلات و الخبرات:
Diploma’s/Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
1–3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency with ERP Systems, accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
Experience in inventory and cost accounting is an advantage.
Familiarity with Omani tax and regulatory requirements is preferred.
