The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, which includes acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. He is crucial in ensuring goods arrive at their destinations safely, timely, and cost-effectively

Reporting: to the PC French P&L logistics Manager

Essential Responsibilities :

· Organize and manage transportation, particularly customs-related administrative documentation.

· Conduct tenders for packaging and transportation activities.

· Manage expenses - Respect the allocated budget when defined.

· Create savings (competitive bidding - negotiation).

· Monitor department KPIs

· Coordinate the transfer of equipment to the storage warehouses or to the customer

· Organize transport according to Incoterms and contracts

· Place transportation/delivery purchase orders

· Organize regular meetings with packaging and transport subcontractors, identify bottlenecks, and define or propose solutions to meet the schedule

· Resolve any disputes with service providers, carriers, subcontractors, etc

· Collaborate closely with GE's logistics organization to define and manage progress plans

· Support cost out activities.

· Interfacing and coordinating with all the other functions (Sourcing, Engineering, Project, Finance & others).

· Ensuring that our T&C’s are applied to all our suppliers and subcontractors and define the claim strategy for the project.

· Monitoring risks and opportunities for the scope and set-up mitigation plan accordingly.

· Claim submission, negotiation and strategy building for late deliveries.

· Regular suppliers' performance reviews.

Qualifications / Requirements

· Fluent in English

· 5 years of experience in Logistics

· Working knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo management software preferred

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills (data processing)

· Working knowledge of PC computer

· Knowledge of the ERP SAP

· Team Player, flexible attitude and willing to work on projects.

· Great interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Characteristics

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics or business (preferred) and /or equivalent experience.

· Effective problem-solving ability to lead and influence others.
