JOB SUMMARY:

As a Logistics Specialist you will have the opportunity to develop your book of business with our intermodal, highway and drayage capabilities.  You will have the systems and support needed to grow in an ever-changing marketplace.  Your customers will be introduced to USMMG’s national network of port drayage, transload, over the road and intermodal.  It is a great opportunity for those who thrive by solving customers’ problems. 

This position is required to be on-site daily in the Franklin, TN office location, no relocation package will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day-to-day freight brokerage operations from booking to delivery

Source, qualify, and maintain carrier relationships

Negotiate rates and secure capacity based on market conditions

Track shipments and proactively resolve service issues

Communicate consistently with shippers, carriers, and internal teams

Maintain accurate data in the TMS and ensure compliance standards are met

Learn freight lanes, pricing trends, and operational best practices

Meet performance goals related to volume, margin, and service levels

QUALIFICATIONS:

No Experience Necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of proven success in freight brokerage or dray brokerage

Established shipper relationships with a track record of growing a book of business.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.

Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing.

Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS platforms (or a fast learner).
