Locum Run Leader
Hours: Various hours per week
Salary: £14.10 – £15.17 per hour + annual leave payment
Location: Travel across the geographical area as required (South & Vale or Oxford City or Cherwell & West)

Buxton Movers supports people experiencing mental health challenges to become more active by removing barriers to sport and physical activity.
As a Locum Run Leader, you will:
Lead small group running sessions or provide one-to-one support
Help participants build confidence and improve wellbeing
Support individuals to set and achieve personal activity goals
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

Essential knowledge and skills
Understanding of mental health issues and the needs of those experiencing them
Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults
Awareness of confidentiality and GDPR principles
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic IT skills and good organisational ability
Essential experience
Experience supporting individuals or groups with wellbeing or mental health needs
Ability to support people in setting and achieving personal goals
Experience working in a team and communicating effectively
Experience identifying and managing risk (with support where appropriate)
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in co-production or community-based services
Experience with data collection and outcome tracking
Experience networking or working with partner organisations
Experience supporting people with multiple or complex needs
