Job Title: Locum Specialist Dietitian – Gastroenterology
Banding: Band 7
Location: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (option to extend)
Hourly Rate: £30-32 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (part-time also considered). 1.6WTE available.
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking two experienced Band 7 Dietitians to join the Gastroenterology team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist inpatient service, delivering high-quality nutritional care to patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions. The successful candidates will support inpatient services, including the management of patients requiring TPN, enteral feeding, and specialist gastroenterology care, working closely within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist dietetic care for gastroenterology inpatients.
• Manage patients requiring TPN, enteral feeding, and complex nutrition support.
• Provide assessment and treatment for conditions including liver disease, IBD, and intestinal failure.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development.
Qualifications and Experience
• HCPC registered Dietitian.
• Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent.
• Recent experience in gastroenterology dietetics (essential).
• Experience managing TPN and complex nutritional support cases.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
