Position title: Sr. Java Developer – Devops Platform TeamSr.
Location: Washington, DC (locals Or Nearby Only)
Duration: 6 Months +

Senior Developer contractor to support for 2017 SOW029 Digital Experience. This individual will be a key member on the Continuous Delivery Platform team what leverage tools and Continuous Delivery practices to improve delivery agility. The responsibilities include, but not limited to
Work directly with architect, technical lead and other team members on design and development tasks.
Accountable for meeting delivery milestones
Configuring tools, write scripts, invoke tool API’s etc. to design solutions that are customized for the enterprise and individual product/project needs
Conduct code review, and testing.
Document design, approach, and user guides
Implement security architecture, and other cross cutting concerns identified to meet FEPOC business needs.
Required Skills:
Good development skills
Object oriented design and hands on experience
Familiar with coding best practices and assessing code quality
Experience with designing application architecture and frameworks
Good understanding of RESTful web services and principles
Full stack preferable
Scripting knowledge  bash/shell,
Familiar with Linux OS and shell commands
Good foundation in DevOps principles and practices
Experience with process automation
Hands on experience with creating and maintaining continuous delivery deployment pipelines
Ability to understand enterprise needs (present and future) and translate them to DevOps techniques
Believes in cultural aspects of DevOps, is able to influence change where needed
Experience in creating enterprise documentation
Good communication skills
Self-starter, with the ability to lead others/team forward
Java knowledge
Demonstrated ability to pick up new tools and integrate them with enterprise tool sets.
Preferred skills
Full stack developer
Python
