Pay: Up to $29/hour (up to $60,320 annually)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled CDL Class A truck operator to handle the transportation of structural steel components to local construction and fabrication sites. This is a first-shift, local position—no overnight travel, and you’ll be home each night. The role requires safe operation of flatbed trucks while following DOT and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a CDL Class A flatbed tractor-trailer to transport steel components, including beams, plates, columns, and assemblies.

• Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, edge protectors, and other equipment in line with FMCSA cargo securement regulations.

• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections for vehicle and cargo safety.

• Coordinate with dispatch, fabrication teams, and construction crews to meet delivery schedules.

• Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and compliance with federal and state transportation rules.

• Drive safely in varied road, weather, and jobsite conditions.

Qualifications:
• Valid CDL Class A license in good standing.

• Experience operating flatbed trucks preferred.

• Prior experience transporting steel or heavy materials a plus.

• Knowledge of load securement methods using chains, binders, and straps.

• Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR review.

• Must successfully pass drug screening and background check.

• Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
