Pay: Up to $29 per hour (Up to $60,320 annually)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced CDL Class A Flatbed Driver to transport structural steel components to construction sites and fabrication facilities. This is a local, first-shift position, offering home daily routes with no overnight travel.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating flatbed trucks and hauling heavy materials such as structural steel, while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a CDL Class A flatbed tractor-trailer to transport structural steel components, including beams, columns, plates, and fabricated assemblies

• Secure loads properly using chains, binders, straps, edge protectors, and dunnage in compliance with FMCSA cargo securement regulations and company safety standards

• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and load stability

• Coordinate with dispatchers, fabrication teams, and construction crews to ensure accurate pickup and delivery schedules

• Maintain DOT logs, delivery documentation, and compliance with federal and state transportation regulations

• Operate safely in varying road, weather, and jobsite conditions

Qualifications:
• Valid CDL Class A license (active and in good standing)

• Flatbed driving experience preferred

• Experience transporting structural steel or other heavy materials preferred

• Ability to safely secure loads using chains, binders, and straps

• Clean driving record with ability to pass MVR review

• Must pass drug screening and background check

• Strong commitment to safety and DOT compliance
