We are currently seeking a Live-In Maintenance Technician to join our operations team at our newly acquired Weston Road community in North York. This hands-on role is well suited for an experienced and dependable maintenance professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a community of more than 200 residents. As a live-in team member, you will support day-to-day maintenance operations and help ensure shared spaces remain modern, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents.
Our Weston Road community consists of multiple apartment buildings with on-site amenities including laundry facilities, parking, and security systems, supporting the day-to-day operations of a large residential community. The property is situated in a well-connected urban corridor with direct access to TTC transit at the doorstep and nearby GO service, as well as convenient access to major highways. The surrounding community includes a mix of residential and commercial amenities such as shopping centres, schools, healthcare services, and recreational spaces, with parks and trails along the Humber River located nearby.
Responsibilities
In addition to the duties typically expected of a maintenance professional, responsibilities will include;
Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
Assist with seasonal property operations, including landscaping and snow removal.
Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in property maintenance, building operations, or facilities support role.
Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license, and access to your own vehicle.
General understanding of residential building systems (e.g., kitchen & bathroom fixtures, doors, appliances, lighting).
Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and extended periods of walking.
Functional English verbal communication skills.
Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.

All work will be completed at 2220-2222 Weston Road, North York, Ontario, M9N 1YZ.
Maintenance staff are required to supply their own basic tools necessary to perform maintenance. Specialty tools will be provided by the employer.
This role requires continuous on-call availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address emergency situations and urgent resident needs.
The expected base salary for this position is between $40,000 - $45,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, internal equity, and other job-related requirements. In addition to an annual salary, employees will be provided with a residential unit valued at an estimated market rate of $2,000–$2,400 per month. You will also receive two weeks of paid vacation annually - starting on day one!
