Liquor Store Clerk / Delivery Driver

Curvy Bottle Liquor Store – Red Deer Resort & Casino

Curvy Bottle Liquor Store is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Liquor Store Clerk/Delivery Driver to support daily store operations and deliver liquor orders to outside vendors. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in accuracy, safety, and great service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Store Operations

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to all customers.

Operate the CLR POS system accurately and efficiently.

Support sales by promoting products and assisting customers with inquiries.

Assist with merchandising, including signage, displays, stocking, and sales tags.

Complete liquor transfers and distribute liquor purchases safely and accurately.

Participate in monthly inventory counts and follow all inventory procedures.

Maintain store cleanliness, including shelving, glass, counters, and general upkeep.

Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.

Delivery & Distribution

Deliver alcoholic beverage orders to outside vendors accurately and on schedule.

Load and unload products safely, including heavy items such as kegs.

Assist with liquor deliveries to internal and external vendors as required.

Follow all safety, legal, and operational procedures when transporting alcohol.

General

Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned to support day-to-day business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Grade 12 or GED preferred.

Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Retail sales experience is an asset.

Basic computer and POS system knowledge.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivated with strong energy and professionalism.

Must be of legal age to sell alcoholic beverages.

Must be fluent in English.

Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (required).

Must be eligible for insurance under the Red Deer Resort & Casino insurance plan (required).

ProServe, ProTect, and WHMIS certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Clear Criminal Record Check required.

Must follow all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Must be able to lift, move, and transport heavy items (up to ~150 lbs), using proper lifting techniques and equipment.  Regular lifting of items (35–50 lbs) required.

Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and loading/unloading deliveries.

Indoor retail environment with exposure to varying temperatures, especially during deliveries.

Hours of Work

Work hours vary based on operational needs and will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
