VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for LINUX ADMINISTRATOR for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:

Skillset required:

• 4+ years of experience in Linux / UNIX

• Proven experience installing, performance tuning, system monitoring and managing Linux systems

• Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies

• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and experience in trouble shooting and recovery

• Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities:

• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from the monitoring tools.

• System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.

• Business continuity planning

• Hardware /software configuration; and management

• Liaison with various teams and stake holder, operation personnel, and vendor service personnel on solutions and implementation specifics

• Technical support and general troubleshooting

• Support the server platforms in various environments such as development, test staging and production environment

• Mange and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity

• Reports to project heads frequently

• Provide technical leadership and hands on management Linux environment.

• Responsibilities for all aspects of Linux administration including monitoring, backup and recovery, security, performance management and any project related activities.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT

• Linux / Unix Admin certification.
