Job Description

Oklahoma Electric Cooperative in Norman, OK is accepting applications for 2026 Summer & Fall Lineman internships.

Summer Internships will likely start in May or June and run for approximately 8-16 weeks.

Fall Internships will likely start in September and run for approximately 8-16 weeks.

Lineman Interns will gain hands-on experience in overhead and underground construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of, Electric Power Line Technology (or similar) degree or certificate program

Trained and certified in climbing

Trained and certified in First Aid and CPR

Basic electricity knowledge

Have and maintain Class A CDL or will obtain prior to graduation

Live in OEC service territory during the internship
