We are currently recruiting for the role of Linear Infrastructures Junior Designer with experience in roadway (or railway) design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering roadway designs for many years, throughout the USA, Canada and Australia. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural Enterprise Capabilities Team (Poland/Spain).

Here's what you'll do:

• Works on small projects or defined portions of larger highway or linear infrastructure projects under the supervision and review of senior engineers.
• Collects, reviews, and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Performs detailed and routine engineering calculations related to highway design elements.
• Prepares design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for assigned tasks.
• Proposes solutions to engineering problems using standard procedures.
• Delivers assigned work in accordance with agreed project scope, budget, and schedule, with limited supervision.
• Independently completes assigned primary design elements in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinates assigned tasks with other project team members under guidance from senior staff.
• Performs self-checks of own work prior to submission for review.
• Supports senior engineers and contributes to overall project delivery.

Here's what we're looking for:

• Proven track record of working on highway designs (+6 years).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
• Experience in geometrical design at least one of the following packages: InRoads, OpenRoads / OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak or 12d Model.
• Advanced level in CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
• Communicative level of English (spoken and written)
• CV in English language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering
• US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably.
