Job Description and Responsibilities

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Line Cook to join our dynamic team. This position is PART TIME 5 days. What you will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance, and the ability to cook healthy and appealing menus for consumers.

As a Line Cook, your responsibilities will include:

 

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established standards
• Support the Chef in the execution of daily activities for our client contract
• Ensure high-quality results in all food preparation and presentation
• Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, and OHS standards
• Assist in the creation and execution of a la carte menu items
• Perform general food production tasks, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Follow Sodexo programs, including Food Safety, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Marketing
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Participate in menu planning and development as needed
• Adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure during peak hours
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests
• Contribute to a positive work environment and support team goals

About YOU

You are an experienced cook who enjoys working in a team environment, ensuring high quality results and meeting food safety, HACCP and OHS standards.

During your mandate, it will be your responsibility to support the Chef in the execution of daily activities defined for our client contract regarding all food service offerings and the a la carte menu. You will use your skills to help create an excellent food service offering for the clients and guests of this site. You will be asked to prepare general food production, cooking, serving as well as other assigned tasks. You will be required to follow the various Sodexo programs: Food Safety, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Marketing.

You have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
