Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality
Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to optimize flavor and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations
Handle food with care, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques
Support catering events by preparing dishes and serving guests as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Assist in food plating, garnishing, and presentation for fine dining experiences
Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues
Experience
Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
Background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is highly desirable
Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards is beneficial
Skills in cooking, food handling, knife skills, and food presentation are essential
Knowledge of catering services and serving in a fine dining environment is a plus
Previous kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and culinary techniques is preferred
