Job Description
A multi Oscar-winning creative studio, we have worked with some of the greatest storytellers in film today. Collaborating with directors and producers across the complete filmmaking process to help design, plan and create beautiful images, we focus on finding innovative creative solutions to support their vision and set new standards for visual effects in cinema.
Framestore combines talent and technology to bring life to everything we create, whether in film, episodic, advertising or immersive experiences. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.
The Role:
As a Lighting TD, you will assemble 3D scenes, including assets from various departments, and design the lighting for the shots, following the instructions of the visual effects supervisors, 3D computer graphics (CG) supervisors or sequence editors.
To do this, you'll work closely with the 3D CG Supervisor to determine the approach to technical challenges and in the development of the final visual look of images to ensure the evolution of a shot in collaboration with the assigned Digital Compositor.
At the request of the digital compositor, you will render various sequences of elements (passes), including sequences without 3D lighting, and create lighting configurations, or work with existing configurations, as well as efficient rendering configurations, in order to optimize the operation of the facilities provided for this purpose.
What you’ll do:
• In 3D scenes, scrutinizing the colors and direction of all light sources to replicate the “real world” as closely as possible.
• Regularly review schedules and deadlines with production and team leaders, and adhere to them.
• Perform other related tasks as required, including management of scenes or assets from other departments, in order to meet deadlines.
