JOB TITLE: LIGHTING APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST
Reports to: Applications Engineering Manager
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
The Lighting Applications Specialist must leverage their lighting, product, code, and technical expertise to collaborate with the sales team to produce accurate and timely lighting solutions. They must act as an internal knowledge resource for design assistance and technical services to ensure that projects are successful through completion.
Duties + Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate and timely lighting solutions and ensure projects are successful through the entire construction sales cycle
Maintain knowledge in all lighting sources including but not limited to high intensity discharge lamps, fluorescent, and LED
Build 3D environments using AGi32 (Advanced Graphical Interface) software
Read and interpret IES files; edit corrupt files as necessary
Act as an internal knowledge resource for design assistance and technical services
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product lines and new luminaire technologies and optics by attending product training sessions
Actively leverage a solution-oriented attitude to communicate any opportunities for improvement
Skills + Specifications:
Possess and maintain understanding of lighting, lighting controls, basic electrical components and building management systems
Ability to read and understand construction plans and wiring diagrams
Maintain working knowledge of lighting and efficiency code requirements including but not limited to Title 24 and Dark Sky Ordinance
Ability to handle and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously without compromising quality of service or deadline adherence
Possess strong self-direction, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and time management skills
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Act as a brand ambassador upholding a strong sense of professionalism in all direct and indirect customer interactions

Assume and complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in lighting calculations
High school education or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD software
Ability to communicate in architectural and electrical jargon
Experience with Microsoft Office
Compensation Package Information
Below is a reasonable compensation estimate. This estimate is inclusive of a wide range of factors considered when making compensation decisions; including but not limited to industry experience, work history and length thereof, education level and area of expertise, and organizational and business needs.
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation package is $55,000-$75,000 base salary, plus bonus potential and profit-sharing contribution.
