Lifeguard - Part Time

This role sits in the Council’s Community Group, which comprises of community focused services such as Hamilton Pool, Parks and Recreation, Hamilton City Libraries and the city’s three main visitor attractions.

Our lifeguards ensure everyone visiting Hamilton Pools is safe in the water and having a great time, they provide education around risk prevention along with a bit of cleaning, EASY.

We welcome individuals from all walks of life. If you are a confident swimmer and enjoy working with people, we will provide the necessary training! This a part-time role and you will need to be available to work Tuesday 5-8am, Thursday 8am-noon, Saturday or Sunday 10:30am-6:30pm.

No experience or qualifications as a lifeguard? Don’t let that stop you! We have opportunities for self-starters with the right mindset to gain a fully paid for Practicing Lifeguard Certification.

Qualifications you will obtain: 

• First Aid Level 2 Certificate 

• Pool Life Saving Practicing Certificate (PLPC)

Starting at $28.95 per hour dependent on skills and experience.
