The Dundee Township Park District is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Lifeguards to keep our pool safe, and ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience!
What You’ll Do
As a Lifeguard, you’ll:
Ensure the safety of all pool guests by enforcing rules and responding swiftly to emergencies.
Build relationships with guests and provide a welcoming, friendly environment.
Maintain a clean and safe facility, including pool decks, locker rooms, and surrounding areas.
Implement Star Guard procedures with precision when needed.
Support the Pool Management team with additional duties and responsibilities.
Represent the Dundee Township Park District’s Mission by delivering excellent community service and creating positive experiences for all.
Who You Are
You’re a proactive team player with:
A passion for water safety and community engagement.
The ability to stay calm, think quickly, and make sound decisions in emergencies.
A positive attitude and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
The physical ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and retrieve a 10-lb brick from a 12-ft depth.
A knack for problem solving and attention to detail.
A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
A minimum age of 15 years old. (work permit required if under 16 years of age)
Schedule
Work hours vary between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday.
A set schedule will be provided, but expect weekend, holiday, and extended hours as needed.
This is a seasonal summer position, perfect for students and anyone looking for a fun, active summer job!
