About the role:
This is the job description for a Life Policy Administrator within a Client Servicing Team based in Madrid, Spain. The vacancy is offered by the Spanish branch of a regulated life insurance service company, Monument AssuranceServices Luxembourg Sàrl, who are part of the wider Monument Re Group. The Madrid office is a small, veryexperienced team, with the focus being on providing the highest standard of customer care to a portfolio ofinternational life insurance business.
Responsibilities:
The Life Policy Administrator is integral to delivering efficient policy administration, where the language of our client base is Spanish or English. The Life Policy Administrator will be a key support mechanism to the branch manager and their peers in the Client Servicing Team.
The Life Policy Administrator will report directly to the Spanish branch manager
Role Requirements:
• Delivery of efficient administration across the ‘life cycle’ of life insurance contracts under administration*: receipt and processing of premiums; maintenance of the policy (e.g. change of policy owner, change of beneficiary, fiscal declarations, delivery of valuation statements); and payment of policy benefits (on surrender and death).
• Handling of day-to-day client enquiries* with the objective to provide consistently high standard of service.
• Maintaining positive engagement with the brokers representing the client base.
• Invoicing and banking reconciliations (to ensure premiums and benefits are paid correctly).
• Supports with key regulatory initiatives, namely tax processing, ‘Know Your Client’ requests and individual AML scoring of the portfolios under administration.
• Project specific tasks supporting the administration of the portfolios. Examples include testing of modifications / new developments within Client Servicing.
• Ensures policy administration is compliant with applicable fiscal and legal regulations and applies operational controls to maintain such adherence.
*This applies transversal to the portfolios, specifically those on a Freedom of Services and Freedom of Establishment basis, where the preferred language of the policyholder is Spanish and English.
