Cambridge Senior Living is a state-of-the-art skilled assisted living community nestled in beautiful Eau Claire, WI. Our compassionate, close-knit team is dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents, and we’re looking for a Life Enhancement Director who is as enthusiastic about creating joy as we are.
As our Life Enhancement Director, you’ll be the heartbeat of our community - planning, organizing, and leading programs that promote joy, purpose, and connection.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning and implementing a wide variety of activities - physical, social, recreational, intellectual, creative, religious, and entertainment-based - tailored to resident abilities and interests
Designing programs specifically for senescence care
Creating social media posts and monthly activity calendars
Encouraging participation and fostering meaningful social connections
Organizing and chaperoning outings and off-site activities
Decorating for holidays, seasons, and special events
Coordinating with the Culinary Team for food and refreshments for activities
Recruiting, training, and supervising interns and volunteers
Leading the Resident Advisory Committee quarterly and following up with leadership on feedback
Hosting monthly birthday celebrations and weekly music events
Ensuring compliance during inspections and completing follow-ups
Documenting in electronic medical records, including ISPs
Responsible for managing the monthly activity budget and ensuring all necessary supplies for programs and events are purchased and available.
Participating in administrative meetings and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
Work-Life Balance & Hours:
We value balance as much as fun. This role offers a predictable, flexible schedule:
Monday–Friday: 3 days 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 2 days 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Occasional weekend coverage only
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)
2+ years’ experience in a similar role in Assisted Living, Nursing Home, or Hospital settings
NWRAA participation preferred, not required
CBRF Registry and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care experience preferred, not required
A creative spirit, strong organization skills, and a love for working with seniors
