Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our Bastrop County locations (Bastrop Community Health Center, Bastrop ISD Health Center, and Family Health Center @ Elgin).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Documents, according to protocol, in medical records all services that are performed for patients.

Provides prenatal health and nutrition education; provides instruction to mothers on infant and childcare; gives instruction on medication dosage as prescribed.

Assists with patient referrals to other services when indicated and as needed.

Sets up and helps clean exam rooms and assists providers in exam room as needed.

Inventories and requisitions supplies.

Demonstrates competency with all routes of injections.

Submits agency forms and documentation in a timely manner.

Perform clerical duties when necessary.

Ensures that work assignments and information gathered from day to day is not shared with anyone and protects all patient and agency information.

Actively participates in agency performance improvement initiatives.

Is knowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality.

Carries out other duties as assigned and supports the agencies Mission, Vision and Values Statement.
