AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Clinician (CPO / LPO) in Meadville, PA. This role focuses on evaluating patients, designing treatment plans, and delivering custom orthotic and prosthetic devices that improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
The clinician will work closely with patients, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure proper device fit, function, and long-term patient outcomes. This position combines clinical care, patient education, and technical collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients to determine orthotic and prosthetic needs through clinical assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans and recommend appropriate device solutions
• Perform casting, measurements, and fittings for custom orthotic and prosthetic devices
• Provide adjustments, follow-up care, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal device performance
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper use, maintenance, and expectations of devices
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers on patient care plans
• Review fabrication specifications and coordinate with technicians during device production
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols
Requirements:
• Certification as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) or licensure as a Licensed Prosthetist Orthotist (LPO)
• Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related accredited program
• Experience evaluating and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices
• Strong understanding of biomechanics, gait analysis, and rehabilitation principles
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Strong documentation and clinical record management skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and clinical priorities in a healthcare setting
