We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist to join our Edison, NJ clinic. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and involves designing, fitting, and adjusting custom prosthetic and orthotic devices. As a clinical leader, you will directly improve patient mobility and function through innovative treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Role Overview
As a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO), you will manage a varied caseload of patients, overseeing every stage of care—from initial evaluation to long-term follow-up. This role requires collaboration with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to provide seamless, high-quality care for each patient.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized O&P treatment plans.
• Design, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices for optimal comfort and function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and physical therapists.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, and skin care.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and treatment documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor patient progress and perform necessary modifications or repairs over time.
Requirements:
• Active New Jersey Prosthetist / Orthotist license required.
• Board certification via ABC or BOC required.
• Previous clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred; recent residency graduates welcome.
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes.
