Job Description
We are seeking a Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) to join our clinical team in Edison, NJ. This full-time position focuses on delivering customized prosthetic and orthotic solutions that enhance patient mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, compassionate, and committed to providing evidence-based care in a collaborative healthcare setting.
In this role, you will oversee the full continuum of care—from comprehensive evaluation and device design to fitting, education, and long-term follow-up. You will work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and patient-focused treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to develop individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans
• Design, fabricate oversight, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices for optimal alignment, function, and comfort
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in Edison, NJ
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, wear schedules, and skin care protocols
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Monitor patient outcomes and provide modifications, repairs, and follow-up care as functional needs evolve
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and best practices
Requirements:
• Current New Jersey Licensure as a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist
• Board Certification through ABC (American Board for Certification) or BOC (Board of Certification)
• Clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred (residency graduates welcome to apply)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain clinical concepts clearly to patients and families
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered, and evidence-based clinical care
• Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload efficiently and professionally
