We are actively recruiting a Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) to join our clinical team in Metuchen, NJ. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive annual salary range of $90,000–$125,000 based on experience. The role focuses on delivering individualized prosthetic and orthotic solutions that improve mobility, restore function, and enhance overall quality of life.
Based in Metuchen, this position is ideal for a clinically confident, patient-focused professional who values evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will manage the full spectrum of patient care—from assessment and device design to fitting, education, and long-term follow-up—while partnering with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop customized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans.
• Design and oversee fabrication of prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices to ensure proper fit, alignment, and function.
• Perform device fittings, dynamic adjustments, and ongoing modifications as patient needs evolve.
• Educate patients and caregivers on wear schedules, maintenance, skin integrity, and device care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals serving the Metuchen, NJ community.
• Maintain detailed and compliant electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and provide follow-up care, repairs, and adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, clinical best practices, and professional standards.
Requirements:
• Current New Jersey licensure as a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist.
• Board Certification through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or Board of Certification (BOC).
• Clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred; residency graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered, evidence-based care.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently in a collaborative clinical environment.
