Position: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Work Practicum Student Intern

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and spiritually vibrant Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Practicum Student to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional clinical mental health services from a biblically informed perspective, addressing the emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of clients. This role involves using evidence-based therapeutic techniques while also being open to incorporating prayer, scripture, and spiritual guidance into sessions, as appropriate and requested by the client.
Responsibilities:
Clinical evaluation & Counseling: Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions for clients dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, addiction, grief, and other mental health challenges.
Faith Integration: Integrate Christian faith and biblical principles with secular, evidence-based counseling methods (e.g., mindfulness, Internal family systems, CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, etc.) in a manner that is sensitive to the client's spiritual journey and preferences.
Case Management & Collaboration: Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, community resources, and church leadership (while maintaining confidentiality and ethical guidelines) to ensure holistic support for clients.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records and progress notes in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis assessment and intervention as needed, referring clients to external resources, such as inpatient programs, when necessary.
Professional Development: Participate in regular clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and stay current with best practices in both clinical and Christian counseling.
Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and other systems.
Qualifications:
Education: A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited university program.
Faith Alignment: A deep and committed personal Christian faith, with an ability to operate from a biblical worldview and integrate spiritual principles into clinical practice in a professional and ethical manner.
Skills:
