WE ARE HIRING PRN!
The Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN is responsible for following assigned duties provided through the charge nurse on the shift. The LPN will provide appropriate nursing interventions as indicated for the care and safety of the patients. The LPN administered medications according to the prescribed orders in a timely manner. Documents the medication and procedures implemented into the medical record following the established protocol. Works as a team member to facilitate completion of the admission and discharge process for all patients assigned. Transcribes orders accurately and audits the medical record for accuracy of the orders being transcribed and implemented. Assumes the role of patient advocate providing education to patients and families as indicated. Communicates with other members of the nursing team to fulfill the needs of the patients. Assist with activities of daily living. Encourages and fosters independence with the patients as indicated.
Communicates with the medical staff on identified patient issues. Performs patient care assessments timely and accurately. Addresses patient care needs in a timely manner. Documents findings into the medical record accurately and timely. Ensures daily documentation is completed thoroughly and signed and dated according to protocol.
Adheres to Human Resource policies regarding code of conduct and attendance. Follows Infection Control and Employee Health Guidelines to ensure safety of patients and staff.
Actively works with the Service Development Department to facilitate admissions into the facility in a timely manner. Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team and communicates identified patient goals, interventions, and assessments.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Certification from approved Practical/Vocational Nursing Program
License: Licensed as an LPN to practice in the state
Experience: One year LPN experience preferred
