Salary Range:
$84,000-$101,867 per year (DOE)
As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide brief, solution-focused therapy, group interventions, and psychological support for adults participating in industrial rehabilitation programs. You will play a vital role in helping individuals regain control, confidence, and resilience following workplace injuries. This position emphasizes cultural and linguistic sensitivity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and elements of case management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct intake, progress, and discharge evaluations, documenting findings and preparing reports
Develop and implement customized treatment plans focused on recovery goals, stress management, and resilience building
Lead group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared coping strategies
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure integrated, holistic care
Document patient progress thoroughly in compliance with program and regulatory standards
Participate in case conferences and team meetings to adjust care plans as needed
Identify and address psychological factors impacting rehabilitation within a short-term intervention framework
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
Washington State License: LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC in good standing
2-5 years of experience in mental health counseling, ideally in short-term intervention or rehabilitation settings
Skilled in facilitating group therapy sessions
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Washington State L&I guidelines and processes
Experience with chronic pain and trauma-related care
Strong computer and EMR documentation skills
