Role Overview
The Licensed Mechanic supports field operations by maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Triumph’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role works closely with operations, project teams, and field crews to ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform.
Success in this role means equipment is consistently operational, downtime is minimized, and issues are identified and resolved before they impact projects. You take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, maintain organized service records, and support field teams by ensuring they have dependable equipment.

What You Bring to the Table
Technical Skills
Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician License or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License
3 – 7 years of experience working on trucks and/or heavy equipment
Strong diagnostic ability across diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Experience performing preventative maintenance and major repairs independently
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ considered an asset)

Strong attention to detail in diagnostics, repairs, and inspections
Ability to identify root causes of recurring mechanical issues
Strong organizational skills in managing service schedules and documentation
Clear communication with operations teams, supervisors, and field crews

Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
Respond to urgent breakdowns and field service needs to minimize operational downtime
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
Coordinate with operations and field teams to prioritize repairs and align maintenance schedules with project demands
Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to improve equipment performance and reduce failures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, including proper tool and equipment management
Support equipment lifecycle planning by providing input on repairs, replacements, and overall fleet condition
Participate in safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement efforts related to fleet operations
