HCO Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed and experienced counselor/therapist specializing in couples therapy and family marriage counseling. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and solution-focused therapy to couples and families, helping them navigate relationship challenges, improve communication, and strengthen their bond. This role offers the flexibility of providing services via telehealth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic services to couples and families, focusing on marriage counseling, relationship dynamics, communication issues, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual and relational challenges and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions to address marital and family issues, such as emotional distance, infidelity, parenting conflicts, and other stressors.
- Facilitate a safe and non-judgmental environment for couples and families to openly communicate and work through their issues.
- Provide crisis intervention and short-term solutions when necessary to help couples and families manage acute issues.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of therapy sessions, treatment goals, and client progress.
- Participate in case consultations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals when needed to ensure holistic care.
- Offer support, education, and resources to clients, empowering them to strengthen their relationships and improve overall family dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, in your state.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in couples and family therapy.
- Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Proficiency in working with diverse family structures and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of family systems theory, couples counseling techniques, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
- Specialized certifications in couples or marriage counseling (e.g., Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, or Prepare/Enrich).
- Experience with blended families, divorce counseling, and co-parenting strategies.
- Experience in telehealth counseling or remote therapy services.
