REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Operations FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SCHEDULE: Varies
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Licensed LCADC or CADC, it is your responsibility to effectively provide evidence-based, substance abuse treatment modalities to clients through individual, group and/or family counseling sessions and development of treatment plans while working with the multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to the client. These duties apply to the Revive Life House operated by Revive Ministries, Inc.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with clients to evaluate substance issues and possible cooccurring disorders
Identify issues and create goals and treatment plans
Complete Assessments
Complete Psycho-socials
Diagnosis any substance and mental illness
Orient clients to the treatment program’s operation and procedures
Maintain complete, comprehensive, and well-organized client records
Make appropriate referrals through case-management services
Provide intake/readmission counseling during clients’ treatment at Revive
Provide crisis intervention/support services to patients
Evaluate client’s stage of change, utilizing Motivational Interviewing to move them close to next stage
Help clients work on skill set to pursue jobs or reestablish their career
Lead group therapy sessions
Maintain records per Revive Life House Policies.
All other duties as assigned.
*LCADC- may conduct individual sessions with clients diagnosed with SUD issues only; no cooccurring disorders
BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION:
Master’s degree from a properly accredited institution with current KY licensure is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified clinician.
Be proficient in both group and individual counseling.
Be able to develop treatment plans with specific goals and objectives corresponding to each client's needs.
Be comfortable in meeting with clients to evaluate their substance abuse problems and deliver appropriate education and treatment services.
Work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate needed services for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Must have knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]); computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs/ MS Outlook (e-mail), Electronic Health Records, and internet familiarity.
Experience working with individuals and/or families who have various mental, behavioral, and substance abuse conditions. Fully licensed LCADC or CADC.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Communicate effectively in oral and written format.
Maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Must have ability to work independently and work in a stressful and busy environment.
Analyze treatment plans, which include the diagnosis of client behavioral and emotional problems.
6. Utilizing knowledge of a variety of therapeutic models and theories to understand and plan intervention strategies for a variety of patients
7. Monitoring patient progress and making changes to the therapeutic approach and best practice, evidenced based interventions based on patient response to treatment
8. Working collaboratively with the patient and appropriate others to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses priority needs of the patient, desired treatment outcomes, an agreed upon plan of action, and reassessment.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach overhead and lift up to 10 pounds; travel outside of the office and/or attend meetings both during and after normal work hours, both at or away from the work site. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Requires about 6 hours of sitting and no more than 2 hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. No significant stooping is required.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will work indoors in a residential setting with central heat and air conditioning. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heat and air conditioning. The person may work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions during times of community activities for clients.
Mental Demands:
There are several daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress to some individuals. The position must deal with the clients, staff, and insurance representatives daily on a variety of issues.
WORK EXPECTATIONS:
Minimum of 40 hours per week; must be available on-call in unusual events related to client emergencies
Must be able to work well with other staff and clients
Minimal travel required
