Job Summary
The Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) oversees the overall operations of the child care program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing leadership to staff. This role includes managing daily operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and promoting a trauma-informed environment through the application of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles. The LCCA ensures high-quality, individualized treatment services for children with emotional disorders, integrating evidence-based practices into care plans.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Ensure compliance with all licensing standards, T3C requirements, and organizational policies.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
Oversee staffing schedules, facility maintenance, and resource allocation to ensure effective operations.
Staff Management
Provide supervision and support to program directors, clinical staff, and support staff.
Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and ensure professional development opportunities.
Ensure staff training aligns with trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based practices for emotional disorders.
Program Oversight
Monitor service delivery to ensure it meets the individualized needs of residents, particularly those with emotional disorders.
Collaborate with the Treatment Director to integrate therapeutic services and ensure program outcomes are achieved.
Oversee the implementation of treatment services designed for children with emotional disorders, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices such as TBRI and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Treatment Services for Emotional Disorders
Work closely with clinical teams to develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans for children with emotional disorders.
Ensure therapeutic interventions are integrated into daily care routines and are tailored to meet residents’ emotional and behavioral needs.
Support clinical staff in addressing challenging behaviors, using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed strategies.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all state licensing standards, including Chapter 43 of the Human Resources Code.
Maintain accurate records and reports, including those required for audits and inspections.
Act as the primary point of contact for licensing agencies and external stakeholders.
Advocacy and Community Engagement
Represent the organization in community forums and with external agencies.
Advocate for residents’ needs and ensure access to educational, medical, and therapeutic resources.
Build relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (required).
Licensure: Licensed Child-Care Administrator (LCCA) in Texas (required).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in child care or residential program management.
Experience providing or overseeing treatment services for children with emotional disorders.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge:
Proficiency in evidence-based practices for emotional and behavioral health treatment, such as TBRI and BBI.
Familiarity with regulatory standards for child care operations.
Experience with documentation and reporting systems (e.g., Zoho, Extended Reach).
