About the Role

As the Lending Desk Associate you will assist all of our lending relationships, including origination, evaluation, liaising with the trading team, execution, oversight, and repayment. You’ll serve as part of the team that is the primary point of contact for our lenders.

You will be expected to proactively engage with our lenders, source deals, inquire about their inventory, negotiate terms, execute payments and repayments, and actively interact with our trading team. In a fast-moving ecosystem where early access and responsiveness can drive significant alpha, your ability to anticipate and navigate changes will be a key value driver.

As the Lending Desk Associate, you will be an integral part of the wider Business Development team, reporting directly to the Head of OTC and BD. There will be a possibility for you to grow and get involved in developing new business opportunities for the firm such as locked token deals, VC investments, market making for tokens and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with lenders, acting as the firm’s interface for all communications and negotiations.

• Collaborate with trading and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of loans.

• Lead commercial discussions, predominantly interest rates, inventory, duration and covenants for the loans.

• Continuously monitor the lending book portfolio, analyzing our existing loans, current interest rates, trading team requests in order to optimize the lending portfolio proactively.

• Keep track of any new inventory available with our lenders, keep track of new lender launches and organizational changes.

• Conduct rigorous due diligence and ongoing risk assessments on existing and prospective lending partners.

• Possibility of representing Wincent at external forums and with key stakeholders within the lending ecosystem.

• Later on, source and evaluate new business opportunities undertaken by Wincent, particularly within the domains of locked token transactions, venture capital investments, and token market-making.

Required Skills and Experience:

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. You should be comfortable operating at the intersection of trading, financial modelling, negotiation and relationship management.

• 0-2 years of previous experience with finance in a graduate job or internship during university at a reputable financial institution

• Demonstrable basic understanding of valuation principles (DCF), financial statements and revenue metrics (IRR, NPV, etc.)

• Experience in or enthusiasm towards relationship management

• Self drive and creative thinking. The company continues to grow very quickly and as such we need to continuously innovate and improve our processes

• High level of personal ownership, accountability, and professional maturity.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent ability to create financial models.
