🔍We’re hiring a Legal Professional for our Family and Estates department in Cape Town who can use the law to help our policyholders make informed decisions and solve their legal challenges. In this role, you’ll give legal advice, mediate disputes, negotiate on behalf of clients, and draft important legal documents. You’ll be part of a talented team that works together in a supportive, collaborative environment.
đź’°Salary and Benefits:
📌 R240,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

đź’ĽWhat You'll Be Doing:
âś…Talking with clients to understand their needs and providing quick, clear legal and product advice.
âś…Helping mediate disputes, working towards settlements and preparing documents
âś…Attending to family and estate files
âś…Drafting legal documents and correspondence tailored to the needs of each client.
âś…Drafting of letters and contracts such as warning letters, referrals, letters of demand, lease agreements and any other letters as required;
âś…Keeping detailed and organized case file notes, with regular updates to make sure everything is clear and accurate.
✅Updating clients on their cases, so they always know what’s happening.
✅Explaining legal issues in a way that’s easy to understand and recording them properly on case files.
âś…Reviewing cases and offering clear legal and merit opinions to help policyholders make informed decisions.
✅Following the company’s procedures and policies to maintain high standards in all your work.
📝Qualifications:
📌An LLB degree
📌Admitted as an attorney or advocate
📌At least 2+ years post admission experience in Family and Estates related disputes
📌Must demonstrate proficiency in two official African languages, of which Afrikaans must be one
