WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Plug and Play is seeking a Legal Intern to assist in its global legal department. Working with our globally-recognized start-up accelerator programs across the globe, this Legal Intern will gain valuable experience analyzing, compiling, and assisting with corporate membership contracts with some of the largest and innovation-focused companies around the world. You will apply your talent and our training to summarize, draft, and analyze contract terms. In addition, you will be exposed to a wide range of legal issues common in an in-house legal department. Some of the required skills include a keen attention to detail, superb organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities. This internship has the possibility to become a full time employee if high performance is met.
Responsibilities:
Assist the legal department with contract management, review, and processing.
Review and summarize key terms of sophisticated corporate membership agreements.
Work on legal projects in areas that may include due diligence, intellectual property, contracts, antitrust, and data privacy
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels and in all departments of the organization
Perform all general office/administrative duties that are required for this position
As knowledge and experience increases, take ownership of new and different requests and add value through new job skills and accomplishments
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a law degree or master from a European University
Masters in Corporate Law, IP, Technology, etc will be highly valued
Fluent in English is a must, other language will be highly valued
Excellent academic records will be highly valued
Excellent written communication skills
Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Self-starter who seeks out new challenges, desire to learn and grow.
Able to understand and synthesize complex ideas
You take pride in your attention to detail and exercise precision in everything you do
