Your Impact

As Legal Compliance Officer, you will play an integral part in supporting our lawyers across a broad range of legal and compliance matters, with a particular focus on marketing compliance. You will help review and advise on marketing materials and campaigns to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and align with internal policies and standards.

We are seeking a proactive and well-organised individual with a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.

A Day in the Life

• Engage with various teams, including marketing, product and affiliate teams, to ensure that all advertising meets our compliance standards.
• Review advertising/marketing material (including website, App, TVC, radio content) and provide feedback to ensure it complies with Australian Consumer Law and other relevant rules, including various State and Territory gambling regulations, prior to publishing.
• Work with the legal team to assist in the development, maintenance and updating of policies and procedures, ensuring best practice in relation to our advertising.
• Responding to information and document requests from regulators, as well as assisting with responses to customer complaints.
• Assisting the legal team with legal tasks such as preparing legal documents from templates and precedents under direction.

Your Strengths

• Experience in a similar compliance role working in a highly regulated environment and/or related to advertising or marketing reviews in a retail environment.
• Qualifications in Legal Studies, Compliance, Business or the like are preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, independently and manage multiple project tasks and demands effectively.
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written, with strong collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail while also being able to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
