Legal Claims - Transportation

We are currently seeking a Senior Claims Handler with experience in heavy equipment to join our team in Querétaro. This role will work in a dynamic environment and closely collaborate with the Claims department.

Shift: Monday to Saturday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end claims administration, including documentation collection, file creation, evidence review, and follow-up with all involved parties.
• Coordinate remotely with field teams, drivers, supervisors, and external adjusters to ensure proper incident handling and accurate information flow.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with insurance companies, expediting claim evaluations, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with policy guidelines.
• Maintain constant communication with authorities (local and federal), ensuring timely submission of required reports and proper handling of legal or regulatory documentation.
• Analyze reports, evidence, and field inputs to determine liability, claim viability, and next steps in the resolution process.
• Prepare detailed claim summaries, financial estimates, loss calculations, and status reports for internal teams (Safety, Operations, Finance, Legal).
• Monitor the progress of claims, identifying delays, bottlenecks, and risks, and proactively implementing solutions.
• Ensure proper documentation control, including recovery invoices, third-party statements, adjuster reports, and internal forms.
• Collaborate with the Safety and Monitoring teams to identify operational risks and provide input for preventive actions.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring all files comply with insurance policies and corporate standards.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Criminology, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in claims handling, insurance processes, or transportation incident management.
• Strong understanding of heavy-duty transportation incidents, even if the role is not field based.
• High proficiency in negotiation with insurers, vendors, and external parties.
• Strong administrative and analytical skills, with proven experience managing complex claim files.
• Advanced English skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Excel and claims or risk management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
