Job Description:
• Responsible for administrative and procedural management of personal injury case files.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and deadlines are strictly met to move cases toward resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Case Management: Maintain organized electronic and physical files from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Client Communication: Serve as a compassionate liaison for clients, providing regular updates on case status and gathering necessary information.
• Medical Records & Bills: Order, track, and summarize medical records and billing statements to build the case's evidence profile.
• Document Preparation: Draft and proofread legal correspondence, demand letters, and basic pleadings (e.g., shells for motions or discovery).
• Calendaring & Deadlines: Manage attorney schedules, including depositions, hearings, and mediations; track all court-mandated deadlines.
• E-Filing: Handle electronic filings in state and federal courts.
• Insurance Liaison: Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims, liability, and coverage details.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: Ideally 1+ years in a personal injury law firm (pre-suit or litigation).
• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with case management software (e.g., Needles, TrialWorks); strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Traits: High attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; client-first attitude.
• Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant plus.
