Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant – Docketing Clerk to join our team. This hybrid role combines legal administrative duties with docketing responsibilities, ensuring deadlines for various cases are accurately tracked and managed. You will be an integral part of our legal team, supporting attorneys in meeting essential docketing requirements and case management.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the calendaring and tracking of litigation deadlines across various court jurisdictions.

• Review and analyze incoming legal documents to identify and compute applicable deadlines.

• Prepare and distribute reports on upcoming critical dates for attorneys and support staff.

• Maintain and update docketing systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules.

• Assist with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence as needed.

• Communicate proactively with attorneys regarding critical deadlines and any necessary follow-up.

• Provide general administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing case files.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Docketing Clerk in a law firm environment.
• Strong understanding of state and federal court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
• Proficient in using legal calendaring software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality work.

This position will be based in our Century City office. The pay range is $25 - $35/hour, commensurate with experience.
