The Legal AI Researcher role focuses on researching, defining, and validating AI services within the legal domain. This role ensures that AI solutions are relevant to our legal clients, meet the expectations of our claims, and comply with legal and regulatory standards. The Legal AI Engineer will also be responsible for publishing research papers, identifying opportunities to integrate AI into legal products, and presenting findings to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities::
• Design relevant Legal AI solutions
• Provide guidance on the product and AI R&D roadmap to better meet client needs.
• Publish research papers on AI in the legal domain to contribute to the body of legal AI knowledge and enhance the company's reputation.
• Present AI capabilities and findings to clients, enhancing their understanding and adoption of AI solutions.
• Conduct AI impact and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Validate AI services to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Work with AI Analysts to perform audits and compliance checks on AI systems.
• Implement required corrective actions to address Legal AI issues identified in AI systems.
• Support Product Development to enhance the adoption of AI solutions within the legal domain.
• Act as the gatekeeper and client champion of product quality, ensuring value in every Legal AI feature release.
• Engage proactively on R&D projects as a subject-matter expert.
Required Skills and Qualifications::
• Legal Degree and or equivalent Legal/LegalOps experience.
• Substantive Prompt Engineering Experience.
• Experience in Enterprise Legal Management, Practice Management, Spend Management or Contract Life Cycle Management.
• Tech-savvy with a strong appetite for learning and working with technology.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications::
• Coding degree, certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with legal-transformation, and/or AI.
• Experience in publishing research papers.
• Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders.
