Who We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant (Litigation) to join our team. This is an important and high-responsibility role supporting senior litigation counsel in a busy, fast-paced practice.
This position is best suited to someone who is confident, proactive, and highly organized, with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through. While this role is primarily focused on LAA responsibilities, it may also include some paralegal-level tasks depending on the candidate’s skill set and experience. Job Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal administrative and litigation support, including:
Preparing correspondence, faxes, and documents using digital dictation, email instructions, copy typing, and handwritten notes (Word and Outlook)
Drafting standard letters, pleadings, and court documents using precedents
Managing court filing deadlines and coordinating hearing dates
Scheduling trials, discoveries, and related litigation steps, and preparing required documentation
Preparing pleadings, affidavits, lists of documents, and document briefs
Opening files and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems
Maintaining bring-forward systems to ensure timely follow-up and receipt of requested materials
Preparing invoices and posting time (Acumin accounting software)
Performing other related duties as required
Qualifications
Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program
