Job Description:
• Verify non-legal aspects of our client's medical accounting.
• Communicate with medical providers via email, fax, and phone to ensure up-to-date and accurate accounting of medical bills and outstanding balances.
• Access and navigate third-party websites to verify balances and confirm billing.
• Update Balance Verification spreadsheet with new information.
• Report discrepancies between our accounting and provider information to Legal Assistant and/or Attorney for resolution.
• Assist attorneys and team members in verifying numbers throughout cases as directed by Smart Advocate checklist.
• Check Chartswap daily for updated balance verifications and billing inquiries.
• Regularly update dashboard to reflect recent verification activity and status.

Responsibilities:
• Be punctual and present in the office for set hours as per personnel policies (e.g. 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday).
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with numbers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable using a computer daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a positive attitude daily.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Able to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and computer.
