Your opportunity
The Faculty of Health is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Midwifery to deliver innovative, learner-centred undergraduate education aligned with professional standards and the woman-centred philosophy of the Bachelor of Midwifery curriculum. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated academic to contribute to midwifery education and research.
You will make an impact by:
Delivering high-quality, engaging teaching across theoretical and clinical midwifery practice.
Developing, reviewing and implementing curriculum that meets accreditation standards and supports student success.
Supporting clinical placements and coordinating with industry partners to ensure meaningful learning experiences.
Contributing to research and scholarship that enhances the Faculty’s profile and informs best practice.
Engaging with professional and community stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and student opportunities.
What you will bring
You are a passionate midwifery educator with clinical expertise who enjoys teaching, research and collaboration. You have the drive to create engaging learning experiences and contribute to curriculum innovation and scholarship in midwifery education.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
A Masters or PhD in a relevant field (or substantial completion towards the same), post graduate experience in a clinical environment and current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
Demonstrated experience in teaching both clinical and theoretical topics in Midwifery and knowledge in the use of contemporary educational technologies
Proven expertise in curriculum design and development, particularly for online and blended learning environments
A track record of research outputs, including high-quality publications and grant success commensurate with level
Evidence of regular participation in and contribution to: research/scholarship collaborations; placement partnerships; professional practice; staff development activities; relevant professional bodies; and/or community groups.

Your opportunity is:
Full-time, continuing (permanent)
Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 or Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities
ACAD Level B. The base salary ranges from $114,482 - $135,392 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $158,409.
