Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Leasing Agent’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to; the leasing process from initial advertising to lease signing, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner and residents have an excellent on boarding experience. This role requires flexible working hours with some weekend work based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Professionally and courteously handle all telephone, email and messages from prospective residents in a timely manner.
Perform Landlord and employment reference check along with credit check and obtain all documents necessary to complete the Tenancy Agreement.
Co-ordinate unit viewings with prospective residents and provide information on available units, price and amenities.
Working with the marketing team create innovative social media campaigns and have vacant units advertised.
Complete and maintain a weekly traffic report. Conduct regular market survey to gain a comprehensive understanding of completing properties and current conditions. market survey along with rental incentives.
Inspect vacant suites daily/weekly and liaise with Property Management to ensure “100% Rent Ready” status is constantly maintained.

Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting unit inspections and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Responding to inquiries from current and prospective residents regarding leasing policies, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, including vacancies, move-ins and move-outs.
Provide support to property management team by generating reports, analyzing market trends, and attending team meetings.
Ensure compliance with laws and company policies and procedures.
Must be organized, efficient, can prioritize, have excellent follow-up and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Forward thinking with an ability to develop creative strategic solutions to difficult issues in a timely manner.

Carry out other duties and/or procedures as required.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 2 years residential leasing and/or property management experience.
High attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
Exceptionally organized and detail oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Able to work both independently and comfortably as part of a team.
Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed to meet business requirements.
Aptitude for working in a deadline-oriented environment.
Commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
Knowledge of the Landlord Tenant Act.
Degree/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
