The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range.

As a Middle School Learning Strategist & Counsellor, you will become a key member of a dynamic Learning Strategist team, working closely with a dedicated, three-person counselling team.
You’ll support Middle School students in developing essential executive functioning and social-emotional skills, while also having opportunities to work with Junior School students in a counselling capacity. Your work will help shape confident, capable learners ready to navigate both school and life.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with the Learning Strategies team to support diverse learners
Teach and strengthen executive functioning skills like organisation, planning, and goal-setting
Design and facilitate engaging social skills groups
Provide one-on-one and small group counselling support
Partner with teachers, parents, and specialists to support student growth
Deliver workshops and presentations for students and staff
Contribute to student learning plans and well-being strategies
Connect families with community resources and support services
Participate in a collaborative counselling team focused on student wellness
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education
Valid British Columbia teaching certification
Master’s degree in School Counselling and/or Counselling Psychology
Legal authorization to work in Canada
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working in multicultural and diverse school environments
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Confidence leading group sessions and workshops
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
