Learning Experience Designer

Navitas is seeking a creative and motivated Learning Experience Designer to design, develop and deliver engaging, high-impact learning experiences that build agent capability and performance.

In this role, you’ll blend learning design, user experience (UX) principles, and emerging learning technologies to create solutions that are effective, accessible, and aligned with organizational training goals. You’ll collaborate across teams, contribute fresh ideas, and help continuously improve how we design learning through innovation and evidence-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Design

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and develop digital and blended learning experiences.
• Contribute to course and unit design aligned with learning outcomes, assessment, and engagement strategies.
• Apply principles from learning science and innovative learning design to improve student experiences.
• Develop courses in LMS platforms such as LearnDash, Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard.

Digital Content and UX Design

• Design and develop visually engaging, user-centred digital learning materials and interfaces.
• Apply UX and accessibility principles to improve the usability and flow of learning resources.
• Use digital design and authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Articulate Rise) to build interactive content.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand learner needs and translate them into engaging learning design solutions.
• Contribute ideas to team workshops and design sprints.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Stay informed on emerging learning technologies, AI tools, and design trends in higher education.
• Participate in professional learning and contribute to the sharing of best practice across teams.
• Evaluate learning resources using feedback and analytics to inform future learning design improvements.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Qualifications – Relevant Bachelor’s degree and/or Postgraduate study in Learning Design, UX/UI Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Digital Learning – Understanding of digital pedagogy, learning theories, and evidence-informed design.
• Design Expertise – Demonstrated experience in UX/UI or digital design, with strong understanding of user experience principles, visual communication, inclusive design and accessibility (WCAG standards).
• Learning Management Systems - Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., LearnDash, Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard).
• Technical Proficiency – Experience using design and content production tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Articulate Rise/Storyline, or Canva.
• Collaboration – Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to partner with key stakeholders.
• Adaptability – Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and adapt to changing technologies and project priorities.
